Tina's Stamp House

Yesterday was our gathering at Tina's Stamp House!  This time I remembered to take my camera!  Here's her lovely crafting cottage:

There were six of us and we really had a grand time!  Here's some more pix:

We had a fun filled day of crafting, food and fellowship, it was wonderful.  Here are the projects that we made:

Thanks Tina for being such a marvelous hostess!

Just for Fun!

Once a month a bunch of us get together and create, share, eat and just generally have a ton of fun.  Our friend Tina has a stamp house (I am taking my camera tomorrow to try to capture how wonderful this space is.)  Here is my contribution to our "shoe box swap" tomorrow:

I am totally in love with this die!  This card uses that wonderful die and:
I also used some seed beeds and sequins that I had in my stash.  You can embellish this with almost anything!

Longmont Senior Center Class

I have been doing (or at least trying to do) one class per quarter at the Longmont Senior Center.  This month our class was Special People, Special Birthdays.  We had so much fun making these:

I used a variety of products on these, both retired and current.  If you have any questions about any of them, please leave me a comment or send me an email.

Several of my demonstrator friends have been getting together once a month to do a shoe box swap.  This Sunday is the date for this month so look for coming posts about that fun activity.

I really am hoping to get back to blogging more regularly.  We are finding that getting to bed early and getting up early (before all the kids get here) gives us some time to get some things done - like playing in the craft cage!

Paper Players Challenge #300

I've been getting some new goodies from the new Stampin' Up! catalog and have finally had a few minutes to play with them.  Paper Players is celebrating their 300th challenge post!  I love seeing these challenges and the wonderful creations that the design team comes up with.  I decided this time I would play along:

I know this is a clean and simple challenge, but this die cut just screams for a little bling so I added some tiny pearls.  Here are the products that I used on this card:
I used a retired in-color called Lost Lagoon.  I totally love this color and have a stash of the paper and a couple re-inkers so that I can keep using it!

I also made a couple other cards using this motif that are no so clean and simple:

It was just too much fun to just make one!  The first card uses rhinestones and the other card uses a matted die cut image along with another die cut from that set along with a gold mounted sentiment that ties into the gold bling.  I had such fun making these!

Hello, it's me!

I'm dating myself with that title I suppose, but ....

Things have been crazy here, both at home generally and in the craft cave too.  We have been watching grandchildren since school let out last month, and while it is wonderful to have this time with them it is also nearly impossible to do a whole lot else!

Here's another reason:

Our home away from home #3!  We are hoping to take this "land sailing" to New England in August.  We will also be able to use it going back and forth to the boat each year and alleviating the need for hotel rooms!   Needless to say, the grandchildren are thrilled and now want us to take them all camping (not so sure 5 kids and 2 adults will fit comfortably but we shall see!)  We hope to do just that at least once before we hit the road in August though.

I've played with a challenge recently too, but decided to put those images in a separate post later today so be sure to check back!
