I haven't quite beaten back the pneumonia monster, but it's looking pretty skulky and I think it's about ready to turn tail and run. Blog candy draw has to wait for another day so if you have not commented yet , why the heck not?

Almost there...
It's About Time! Blog Candy is finally here!
THIS POST WILL REMAIN AT THE TOP OF THE BLOG UNTIL MONDAY, FEB. 28 - TO SEE CURRENT POSTS, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN. THANKS!
Well, I finally put some together and got some pictures. They aren't the best, but it's windy outside! I will be drawing for this candy on February 28 and the only thing you have to do to get an entry is to leave me a comment. I'd love it, of course, if you'd become a follower or if you mention this little giveaway on your blog, but all you need to do to get a chance to win is comment. Here's some pix of what you can win:
I had so much fun making the butterflies pictured at the top of the picture. The lovely little organdy and gem butterflies came from my buddy Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty as did some of the lovely lace and bling in the first picture.
Of course, there will be some surprises, handmade and otherwise, thrown into the box before it gets shipped out, but I want those to be a surprise!!!! Anyone who has won candy here before knows that those surprises are half the fun. I will also have a new sentiment set to give away on the 28th - this time some tickets! I'll have a little preview in the next day or so.
So, leave a comment and next Monday we'll see who gets the loot!
Thanks for visiting!

Kaboodle Dooodles is Breaking Traditions!
This week at Kaboodle Doodles the Kaboodlers are breaking tradition, stepping out of their boxes and trying out some new folds! Our sponsor for this week is Wink Wink Ink and they generously provided the dt with some images to play with.
Being an owl nut, I of course used this wonderful owl for my creation:
Card base is Night of Navy (SU) that I embossed with the Very Vintage wheel (SU). The owl and the sentiment (unknown manufacturer out of my punchables box) are mounted on More Mustard (SU). I lined the inside with some BG dp and added a wooden button and some gold cord to tie it all together.
Don't forget to check out the blog candy that I will be giving away on Feb. 28!

Couple of Quickies!!!
I am having lots of fun coloring these Digistamp Boutique images. Just a couple of quick and easy cards for the stash:
Both of these cards feature tickets from the new Ticket Sentiment set that I will be giving away here on the old bloggo on Monday, February 28 so be sure to stop by and grab it. I'm entering the cute Dora birthday card in the challenge at Our Creative Corner to make a background using a word stamp.
There's a fun new challenge up at Sentimental Sundays today. Be sure to stop over and check out the wonderful cards made by the dt. I didn't get one made for this week's challenge, but there sure are some gorgeous cards so stop over. Tomorrow brings a new Kaboodle Doodles challenge so be sure to stop back.

Play Day!
Well I took the day off from work and for the most part got the chance to play! I printed off a couple of cute images from Digistamp Boutique and you will probably see a few cards with them over the next few days/weeks. They are so sweet and I love to color. This little guy is named Barney and there are several adorable images featuring him. He is colored with SU markers and my Koh-i-noor pencils and oms. I made use of some of the scraps on my desk to put this simple card together and also got a chance to play with my ticket sentiments from Ann Vento (Raindropecho Designs). Such fun once I figured out just what size to print them to fit the die!
Blog candy will go up tomorrow and I will draw the winner on February 28. I'm also hoping to have a new sentiment set to give away that day too!
Thanks for visiting!

Kaboodle Doodles and Downline Swaps
Monday meant new challenge day on the Kaboodle Doodles challenge blog - this week we want to see some hearts and flowers on your cards. I know, it's Thursday, but I did get it posted on KD on Monday night, just didn't get around to putting it up here till today:
Our sponsor for this challenge is the marvelous Pink Cat Studio! What fun images. Hop on over to Kaboodle Doodles and check out the samples from the rest of the dt - good stuff!
Last week was our monthly downline meeting and I did a demo using the bleach technique. Here are a couple of the cards I made to illustrate to the gals a couple different techniques:
The one on the left uses a heat embossed image that is colored with bleach and the one on the right is a solid stamp using bleach as ink. I like this technique - it's smelly but it's fun!
Here is my swap:
Here are the swaps from all the rest of the gals:
I have several workshops and stamp camps coming up and I am feverishly trying to prepare for them. In the meantime, I'm getting ready to put up that long-awaited blog candy! Tomorrow or Saturday - be sure to come back and check it out!

V-day cards for the little darlings ...
I made these for my darling grandchildren and gave them along with heart shaped metal tins that I decorated and filled with M&Ms - peanut butter ones and for the oldest I got a cute little wooden box and decorated it and filled it with them too.
These are all digital images from pcCrafters, Dustin Pike and Meljen's Designs. The kitties for the girls are pcCrafters images that I edited to add a sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs.

Sentimental Sundays Challenge #42
This week the challenge on the Sentimental Sundays blog is to use pink, red and white - perfect time of year for these colors! Our sponsors for this week's challenge are Meljen's Designs and Raindrop Echo Designs - both are outstanding digital designers and these prizes are worth competing for!!! Here's my card:
This is the card that I gave to DH for V-day and for our Anniversary. Card base and trim pieces are Regal Rose (SU) and I used some Real Red dp (SU) for the background. I colored the image with markers and also in my graphics program and punched the corner with my fave corner punch. Sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs and I added a glittery red heart (SU). The punched strip is my latest addition to my MS punch collection and when I first saw it I pictured it with ribbon threaded through, so that's what I did. The ribbon is Pretty in Pink (SU) and I added some pearls (SU) for good measure. It was a fun card to make and I am also entering it into the following challenges:
Cupcake Challenge #129 - I love You!
and
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C74 - hearts!
WOW - I never do multiple challenges - scary! Be back later with my v-day cards for the little darlings in my life!

This is me ....
I have so many things to share and just have not had a chance to put together some posts to do it. I've got a Sentimental Sundays card, a Kaboodle Doodles card, V-day cards I made for my grandchildren and birthday card for my DDL, blog candy (yes - it's finally coming), a slideshow of my darling twins in honor of the celebration of their 5th birthday (last month!), downline swaps and a make and take project, and, and, more even that I can't think of now. I have pictures that I just need to process a bit and get posted. Hopefully, later today you'll start to see some of this trickling out. Thanks for being patient with me!

Whew - I'm so glad it's Friday!
It's been quite a week. Lots to do and lots of lousy weather to do it in! Thought I'd share a card I made with some fun stuff that bff Sabrina and I picked up last week on our play date.
Card base is Sage Shadow (retired SU) and the dp is from Graphics 45. The cute butterflies are from Archiver's and I added some stickles to their bodies to make them more blingy! The sentiment is from an older SU set that I can't remember the name of right now and was stamped with Sage Shadow ink. I love that color and made sure to stock up before it went away. The lovely lace down the side is from Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty. If you have not visited her yet, you need to NOW! She has such lovely things and they are priced right too.
I'll have pix of swaps from our downline meeting this week tomorrow so be sure to pop back for a visit. This weekend looks to be busy with V-day, our wedding anniversary and DDL's birthday to keep us in a celebratory mood for the next several days! I think that DH and I are going to offer to keep the baby and the twins so that DS and DDL can go out and celebrate a bit. We're going to celebrate our anniversary a bit early to avoid the V-day crush. 27 years and we are still in love - amazing!!!!!

Time for Sentimental Sundays
This week at Sentimental Sundays we have two sponsors - Deedee's Digis and Raindropecho Designs - definitely a good week to create a project and enter it in the challenge!
This week we are making Valentine's and here's my card:
Had a wonderful time at yesterday's Sassy Chic stamp camp. Here's the card I created for folks to make:
Here's some of the other projects attendees got to make as well:
Lots of talented stampers and it was such a pleasure for me to be able to be part of it. Everyone had a wonderful time and went home with 10 great cards!

I'm trying something a bit new ...
I recently got some wonderful stick pins from Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty - you really, really must check out her store - and I thought I'd try my hand at making embellishments for some cards. I went "shopping" in my bead stash (something I definitely need to do more of) and this was the result.
Here's a closer look at the pins themselves:
Let me know what you think of these!
I hate that I can't figure out how to do decent layouts in Blogger!!!!!
