Sassy Chic's 5th Birthday Celebration - August 8th, 2015

In August the gals of Sassy Chic will be celebrating our 5th birthday!  Hardly seems possible that we have been at this that long.  Time certainly does fly by when you are having fun, doing what you love and sharing it with others!

Here is the card we will be making at my table:
I have to give a big shout out thank you to my friend Sabrina who is the one who designed this card at our Monday Night Stamping get together this week.  Way to go Sabrina!

If you live in the area and would like to join us, here is some information about the camp for you:
If you would like more information, just send me an email (link in the sidebar) or leave me a comment with your contact information and I will get back to you.  This should prove to be a great celebration!

I am still having great fun playing with the new Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack that it is hard to cover up the gorgeous patterns!  Here is a couple more samples:

The colors are just so wonderful in this paper pack.  I will have my card for the August 8, 2015 Sassy Chic 5th Birthday Bash to share with you tomorrow.

Stamp Camp North - July 18, 2015

Here is the card that the campers will be making at my table on Saturday:

I am so loving the new butterfly stamps and die set.  They coordinate perfectly with the butterfly dies that SU has from last season.

Here are some of the supplies used on this card:
I also used the Watercolor Wash (139538) stamp to create the background on this card.

Here is the information on this stamp camp:
If you need more information or would like to sign up, just email me (address in the sidebar).

Christmas in July - Sassy Chic Stamp Camp, Saturday, July 11, 2015

Here are some samples of the card that the campers will be making at my table on Saturday:

They will have a choice of lots of different patterned paper to punch with the new Banner Triple punch and can add their sentiments on a banner or on a Note Tag punch element.  I've added a bit of sparkle using the Gold Glimmer paper.  Here are some of the ingredients I used on these cards:
The patterned paper is from the Trim the Tree stack and although it is not in the new annual catalog, you can still pick some up from the Clearance Rack for a bargain price!  I also used the Zig Zag (on the green layer) and the Decorative Dots (on the white layer) to give this project some added texture.

Stamp Camp North is next weekend:
and there is still room available, so email me or email Juli to get signed up for hours of creative fun with lots of very fun folks.  (My email address is in the sidebar and Juli's is at the bottom of the flyer.)  I hope to have a sample of my project to share with you by the end of the week.

Home at Last!

Well, if you have been following our voyage on Facebook, you will know that we made it to Florida and are now (as of yesterday) both back home.  DH flew to MA from FL and I flew home to CO.  I have been home for about a week and am still not acclimated to being on dry land.  DH arrived home yesterday so all will be getting back to normal soon in the Pereira household!

The trip down the coast took a total of 29 days - closer to DH's estimate than mine I'm glad to say.  It was not always pleasant, but we consoled ourselves with the knowledge that this was the "work" part and the "fun" part will come in December when we head back to FL to begin our winter sailing adventures and head for the Keys and the Bahamas.  The plan has always been to sail in the winter in warmer climates and get away from the cold of Colorado winters.  We shall see how it works out!

I have to get my pictures off the camera, laptop and iPad and go through them, but I promise not to bore you with too many.  We did see some gorgeous sites and spent the night in some very interesting and beautiful places.  It definitely was not all fun and games though!

I have a couple of events coming up:

July 11, 2015 - Sassy Chic Stamp Camp:

July 18, 2015 - Stamp Camp North:

If you want any more information or want to be put on my mailing list for future events, just leave me a comment or send me an email (link in the sidebar).  These camps are always a great opportunity to get creative and share the fun with lots of other fun campers.  There's always the bonus of going home with some gorgeous creations that you made yourself!

I'll be back on schedule with the Monday Freebies soon as well.  Just gotta get myself back in the groove of being a landlubber again!
