Here's some more samples of some of the gift tags I made for our class on Saturday!
The tags are mostly die cuts, but some are just cut free form and some using punches. Images are scrapbook kit elements, printed graphics and stamped images. I am really looking forward to this class and I think that the gals attending are going to have a great time making gift card holders and gift tags!
Thanks for visiting today!

November Christmas Card Challenge
I missed last month's challenge - life just got in the way! I didn't want to miss this month - our final month - and Tracy posed a good one for us. We needed to do a OSW using a 6x6 piece of patterned paper based on this challenge from Verve Stamp's oh-so-talented Julee Tilman (Poetic Artistry). I ended up making my own as I wanted to keep with the snowflake thing going on here and couldn't find any paper with Rose Red snowflakes. Making your own patterned paper guarantees that your papers will all match and besides - it's fun!
Snowmen are one of my most favorite winter time images and these cuties all come from pcCrafters. They are pre-colored graphics that you can print out on your printer and size however you want. Cut, punch and mount any way you want too. The Sentiment is from SU from a set called Happy Winter from a couple of years ago. Card stock used includes Rose Red, Old Olive and Brilliant Blue (rapidly becoming a fave winter color for me).
Thanks for visiting! Tracy will be posting all the challenge entries so hop on over to her blog and visit and see what all the other gals have submitted - they are always great!

Cards for Soldiers
I stamp with some really wonderful gals, and tomorrow we are having an event to make cards for some of our soldiers. This will be the third year for this event and we will be making cards and also writing personal messages in each card. In the process of trying to decide on a design, I made quite a few cards, the first two are samples of cards I decided not to use and the last two are the ones I will be using tomorrow.
The inspiration for this card came from Wendy of Wickedly Wonderful Creations - her absolutely stunning card is HERE.
I'm still working on projects for the Gift Card Holders and Christmas Gift Tags class on December 4 - that is going to be one FUN class! I'll show you some more previews of those projects through the week this week.
I hope all my US bloggy buddies had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday - we had a great time, ate way too much and will probably be eating turkey until well into next week! Thanks for visiting today!

Monday Night Madness
Sabrina came over to play tonight and she made the most gorgeous card:
Image is from Stampendous and she painted it using Twinkling H20s. Don't you love it?
I'm working on my card for this weekend's Cards for Soldiers event in Longmont. I had thought about using my best buddy Dasher, but one of the other gals is doing her card with him, so I fell back on my second favorite holiday image - snowflakes! Here's my card:

I love Dasher!
And I think I'm not the only one either. I've seen him almost everywhere done in many different colors and styles. I am trying to put together a simple card for an upcoming project and was playing around and this is my first attempt:
I think I like it, I just need to be more careful about my layers - the image layer is waaaaaayyyyyy off! It was just a test, so no harm done!
Thanks for visiting. Lots of hectic days coming up with our Thanksgiving holiday here in the US. Kids and grandkids will be here and it will be glorioius! I think I'll be glad of the day off on Friday though for sure@

One Year ago Today!
One year ago today, our grandson Justice was born (he hasn't ever been that quiet when I hold him since then either!):
Here's the card I made to celebrate this momentous event:
Here's what our darling looks like today (photo is courtesy of his very talented daddy and was taken on Halloween at grandma and grandpa's house)!
Thanks for visiting. We're going to celebrate by taking Justice, his mommy and daddy and twin brother and sister out for dinner tonight. The weather is absolutely wonderful here today and I sure hope it is this nice on Thursday when most of the family will be here for turkey dinner.
There is a big empty spot in the driveway - Belmira went to her new home yesterday!

Swap Slideshow
Here's a slideshow of some of the cards from our swap. I know that I didn't get all of them and I apologize to any gals whose cards are missing. I'll do better next month when I actually make enough! We had a grand time and I think everyone enjoyed my make and take projects. Thanks Roselyn for being such a wonderful hostess!
Thanks for visiting. We're being hit by another snowstorm, so I am kind of looking forward to staying in, staying warm and staying creative for the whole weekend! I have lots of new toys to play with, lots of old toys that I haven't gotten around to playing with too so there won't be any excuse for not coming up with some fun projects.

Whew!
I feel like I have been going non-stop since the beginning of last month. Here it is November already and I don't even remember October it went so fast. Next thing I know it will be Thanksgiving! Yikes.
I struggled with my swap this month, but finally came up with this one. I saw THIS CARD on The Diva Stamper's blog and completely cased it but changed the colors. I love the simple and clean look of it.
I did two make & take projects this month and was inspired by THIS CARD for the first one. I really wanted to use the Champagne Mist like Andrea did on hers, but I left mine at one of my workshops last weekend and have not retrieved it yet. I plan to revisit this card though when I get it back.
I was inspired by THIS CARD for my second project. This was so much fun. I totally love playing with punches!
Well, better get some shut eye so I can be bright eyed and bushy tailed for tomorrow's meeting! I hope to have a slideshow of all the swaps sometime tomorrow!
Thanks for visiting!

Wonderful Surprise
I recently purchased some items from Beate Johns and this gorgeous creation was included in my package from her:
What a treat! Thank you Beate!
I saw this ornament idea on Angie Juda's blog (Chic' n Scratch) and had to give it a try:
I think that these may become a yearly tradition as a way of remembering how they look from year to year!
Thanks for visiting. Tomorrow I'll have some more cards to show you that we will be making this weekend.

Please indulge me ....
I admit it, I adore my grandchildren and spoil them every chance I get. I also, naturally, think that they are the most gorgeous children in the whole world. Here's why:
I can't help it - they are just soooooo sweet. Kael and Nattie went to the dentist today and had NO CAVITIES! Yay! Congrats to ds and ddl for a successful strategy with them.
Very long and trying day today, so no crafting tonight. Back at it tomorrow night though and really psyched about getting my groove back (somewhat).
Thanks for indulging me and my gratuitous grandma moments!
