How is this possible? Here's a video that I have shared before of their beginnings:
And now they are 11 years old!!! I have shared pictures of these precious children many times in the past - here, and here, and here. There are more but regrettably not any current. I hope to remedy that soon! They are blossoming and growing and becoming more wonderful with each passing year. This grandma is so very, very proud of these two. They have come a very long way and it has not always been easy, but they hang in there and continue to grow into strong and independent individuals! Happy, Happy, Happy 11th birthday to Isabella and Julian!

Stamp Camp North - January 14, 2017
Yesterday was DH's 73rd birthday! The kids and grandkids were here to help celebrate with food, football and, of course, birthday cake. I don't get a chance to do the cooking very often, but I did get to cook yesterday and had a ball! Not much else got done though so I'm back today with the cards from Stamp Camp North:
This was the prepay gift that the campers that signed up in advance received:
Everyone had a wonderful time! This camp is always so much fun and there's another coming up in February:
I won't get to be there as we will be visiting with my mother for her 85th birthday!!! We are getting the chance to do a bit of "land cruising" in the RV and plan to take Maude (our elderly cat - she's 19) with us. She has been an indoor cat her entire life so this will be a totally new experience for all of us. While in Florida we have some maintenance work to do on the boat so that we will be ready to sail next season. We are putting off sailing this season due to a few health issues for both of us that hopefully will be resolved by next time around.

More Valentine's Day Cards ...
Here's a couple more Valentines:
These were both made with current SU product with the exception of the little punched hearts. Such a shame this punch retired as those hearts fit so perfectly into the recessed hearts on the embossing folder. Luckily, punches are one thing (among way too many things) that I hold on to even after they retire!
Card stock colors used here: Real Red, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White. I think they look smashing together. What do you think?
These were lots of fun to make and the colors came after a breakfast with two of my all time favorite ladies! Thanks you guys for giving me such inspiration and support.

Variations on a theme ...
After making one V-day card, I got hooked and made some more. Here are a couple using parts and pieces I had on my desk:
These use old and new SU stamps and dies and current card stock colors. I'll have a couple more soon using some current products with colors talked about over breakfast with a couple of my demo besties.

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #82
I saw the Stamp Ink Paper challenge to use natural elements and immediately thought of the wonderful paper pad that's been knocking about my desk for a long time from Elizabeth Craft called Through the Lens Wood. It has some great images and I thought it would be fun to make a valentine with non-traditional colors:

Paper Players Challenge #326
I don't play in challenges very often anymore, but I have had this little image sitting on my desk since before Christmas. DH received a nice treat basket for Christmas from my sister and this was part of the packaging on a box of smoked almonds. I couldn't resist the gorgeous rich colors and cut it out and it sat there waiting for me to find a use for it. This challenge is to use recycled items so it was perfect. The old olive panel was just sitting on my desk as well so I just pulled out some Daffodil Delight cardstock and some retired Hello Honey stitched satin ribbon along with a sentiment I had punched out for yesterday's Hey, Chick card.

Still Playing WIth My New Toys
I am still having a blast playing with all the new fun things I got from the new Celebrations and Sale-a-Bration catalogs! So many wonderful items and I anticipate being busy with them for quite a while.
This one uses the gorgeous new Beautiful You set with a background I created using the Touches of Texture set. I am loving browns these days (maybe because it is so white outside right now). You can't see it in this photo, but I brushed some clear Wink of Stella on the centers of the flowers and it is very sparkly. I stamped the flower outline in Whisper White and the solid flower in Soft Suede. The ovals are from the Stitched Shapes die set and the Layering Ovals die set. I colored her dress and hat by pulling the Soft Suede ink from the stamped outline with an aqua-painter (a very fun technique).
This card uses some of the Falling in Love designer paper from the Occasions catalog and features one of the dragonfly shapes from the Detailed Dragonfly dies cut in gold and another die in the So Detailed dies cut in Crumb Cake. I stamped the sentiment and the flowers from the Best Birds stamp set and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes die (I absolutely LOVE those dies!)
I have been surfing Pinterest and am finding so many fun cards that inspire me. I am so happy to be retired and able to spend time in the craft cave creating my own takes on some of these gorgeous and fun cards.
I'll be back soon with details on the upcoming Stamp Camp North stamp camp with a picture of my card and all the details on how you can join in the fun. Hopefully, I will also be able to share with you all the fun cards from tomorrow's Sassy Chic Stamp Camp!
