{this moment} - 11/30/2012

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

My first time posting {this moment} - hopefully not the last.  Photo taken by my daughter-in-law of my youngest grandson on this week's letters adventure - M&N -(mountain) getting to use his "pack-pack" - exciting stuff!

Couple Cuties!

I totally fell in love with this image from Designed 2 Delight:

I love to color and have not done enough of it recently.  I look forward to doing more, both with my Copics and with my pencils/oms and watercolors.  I've let myself get too busy with too many other things and need to get back to basics and start being creative again!

Monday Freebie - Just for You!

I have another freebie for you this Monday morning:

Have not made a card with it yet, but I think this would be cute on a gift tag.  Might have to try making one of those tonight!

Things have been a bit crazy with lots of birthday celebrations (grandson and daughter-in-law) and the Thanksgiving holiday (19 people for dinner) and I didn't get in the craft cave much this past week.  I did spend some time working on a blog re-design so watch for that coming up soon!  Thanks for hanging in there with me, I really appreciate all of you!

Merry Christmas Freebie Sample

I had a good night last night and I managed to make a card sample using yesterday's digital freebie.  I haven't colored in such a long time and it was so nice to stamp out an image and get out the long ignored Copics and color!  The image is from the SU set Christmas Blessings.  I embossed the Always Artichoke card base with the holly image from that same set.

What do you think?  Have I lost my coloring touch?

Monday Freebie - Merry Christmas

Just a quick post to give you today's freebie sentiment.  Busy weekend with the North Area Stamp Camp on Saturday and my darling grandson's 4th birthday party at our home on Sunday.  Busy, busy.  My DS and his wife will be coming in for the Thanksgiving holiday on Tuesday and will be here until Sunday morning.  It will be so wonderful to have them here sharing the holiday with us.

Without further ado, here's this week's freebie:

Nothing fancy this week and I didn't get a chance to make a card with it.  Maybe tomorrow.  I'm off from work this week and hope to have some chances to play amongst all the festivities.

Stamp Camp North - Nov. 17

There's a fun stamp camp coming up in Westminster, Colorado this weekend.  I have been a demo at Stamp Camp North many times and it is always a fun, fun experience.  Wonderful and talented demonstrators to work with and fantastic campers to meet and play with.  If you want any information on this fun camp, please email me (address is on the sidebar) and I will send you the information.  10 great projects, snacks, door prizes and all for just $25.

Here is what the campers will be making at my table this Saturday:

I thought I would make up a few samples using different colors and sentiments so that they can see the variety of looks you can get from the same card:

Midnight Muse

Soft Suede

Island Indigo

I still need to post the great projects from last week's Sassy Chic Holiday Extravaganza.  I have the photos, just need to format them for the blog, so be sure to check back!

Cleaning Off My Desk

I was cleaning off my very, very messy desk today and was looking at all the pieces and parts laying there and was inspired to make a card - actually it ended up being two cards and there is still quite a bit of mess left that might yield even more!  Here they are:

Bits and pieces that came together rather nicely I think.  What do you think? Be sure to come and visit tomorrow for another Monday Freebie!

Monday Freebie - Snow!

Here's today's digital sentiment freebie for you:

JPG

So far we haven't had too much snow this season.  Sometimes by Halloween we have had huge amounts so I am grateful that this year has not been one of them.  I thought I'd make a project to show you how this looks made up into a card.  What do you think?

As always, if you create something using one of my digis I'd love to see it - leave me a link so I can come visit!

Sassy Chic Holiday Extravaganza

This year's Sassy Chic Holiday Extravaganza was a huge success.  A wonderful time was had by all - campers and demos alike.  The gals made 12 projects and this was the one they made at my table:

This is a total CASE of a card by the wonderfully talented Dawn Olchefske and you can see her card HERE.  I am so inspired by her blog.  She has wonderful cards and fantastic videos.  Definitely worth checking out!

I'll have a slide show of some of the other projects for you soon.   We had a really fantastic time.

I'd like to say thanks too to all of you for your kind words and lovely cards on the death of my father.  He was someone very special to me and it was a great comfort to hear from so many of you with your healing thoughts and prayers.  Thank you so much!

I also note that I have finally reached over 200 followers!!!  WooHoo!  Maybe it's time for a little celebration?  Things have been so crazy in my life lately with health issues and the loss of my dad - it's time to celebrate all the good things!  Watch for some blog candy coming soon.  I have another Monday freebie for you tomorrow as well and hope to continue that tradition through the end of the year and hopefully beyond.  I really enjoy creating these and am learning a lot in the process.
