Sassy Chic Stamp Camp card

I think I have the design for my card for the Sassy Chic Stamp Camp in June:

Card inside:
Card base is Pear Pizzazz with a layer of Mossy Meadow underneath the stamped Garden Lane dsp.  The trees are from the Winter Woods stamp set and the sentiment is from the Let It Ride stamp set which is unfortunately retiring.  The inside was also stamped with a stamp from the Let It Ride stamp set.  All the stamping was done with Mossy Meadow ink.  Hopefully our campers can use this for Father's Day or Birthday or just to say HI!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Stamp Camp North Cards - May, 2020 Part 1

Here is the first batch of cards from our "virtual" stamp camp in Westminster this month:

The cards from our virtual Rose Hill Grange camp should be available next and I am really excited to see those.  There is also a demonstrator card swap going on using items from the upcoming SU 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  Those swaps are always so much fun and the cards are always outstanding!

Rose Hill Grange card - May, 2020

I wanted something simple and elegant for this month's Rose Hill Grange stamp camp card.  Here is what I came up with:

The Ornate Garden suite of products is so gorgeous and when combined with a daisy - well it's just plain fun!  Due to restrictions from Stampin' Up! we were unable to sell card kits with images that are pre-stamped. I resorted to my old standby solution - create your own!  This sentiment is computer generated and then stamped with a really old daisy like stamp from Denami Design.  I used it on the inside computer generated sentiment as well:
I do not have the ink pads in the new in-colors, but used a So Saffron ink pad and I think it still looks just fine.  The card base is Bumblebee and the dsp is from the Ornate Garden pack.  The daisy has been punched out using Bumblebee and Very Vanilla.,  The Very Vanilla daisy was embossed using an old embossing folder in order to give it some texture.  The center of the daisy is a punched out circle of gold glimmer paper for a bit of added bling!  The daisy is assembled using glue dots and then popped up using dimensionals.  The die cut is Early Espresso and it is also popped up with dimensionals.

We have had a great response to our "virtual" solutions for our crafting buddies that create with us at camps. This is the first set of "card kits" that we are doing, but it looks like it will still be a while before we can get together in person so it's good to have a way to remain connected! I will be posting notices of future activities from Sassy Chic stamp camp, Stamp Camp North and Rose Hill Grange stamp camp and it you want to join in the fun, leave me a comment or use the form on the sidebar and I will get back to you.

I do not know what is going on with my post titles.  There is some code in there that isn't working and I have not been able to figure it out.  So sorry about the "Sorry." in the title bar.  I am working on it and any hints would be appreciated!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Another Sneak Peek!

I am still trying to play with some of my new toys.  Here's a card I made today:

I wanted to highlight this gorgeous dsp from the Forever Greenery set.  I just love the papers in this set!  The colors are rich and lovely.  The card base is Pear Pizzazz with a layer of Pretty Peacock under the dsp panel.  The sentiment is from the So Sentimental set and I stamped it in Pretty Peacock with a stamp from Forever Fern stamped in Soft Seafoam to accent it.  I cut it out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies, added a piece of Pear Pizzazz ribbon and it was done!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

A Paper Pumpkin card!

One of my greatest frustrations is not being able to get inspired to play with the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit.  Well this month I decided to change that narrative!  Here's a card from this month's Paper Pumpkin kit:

Basic and not very complicated, it is a start! Hope to make a bunch more cards from these monthly kits in the coming days  and months as I continue to get the craft cave cleaned and sorted.

I should soon have some cards from this month's Stamp Camp North virtual stamp camp and I will also have information on the camps happening in June at Sassy Chic, Stamp Camp North and Rose Hill Grange.  We are really trying to stay in touch with all of our crafty buddies!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Added Sentiment and finished!

I really don't like needing these cards, but sometimes (especially right now) it is heart braking.  I finished off this card I made last week by adding a sentiment:

I am sending this to my uncle and his family.  My aunt passed away from Covid 19 and I know that it has been very hard on all of them.

Hope to have some cheerier cards on here soon!  More of my initial order from the new catalog is set to arrive and I will definitely be playing with these new toys!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Sassy Chic Stamp Camp - May 2020, Part 2

Here are the rest of the cards that we prepared for the campers at our virtual stamp camp this month:

This was a very enjoyable experience (lot of work, but totally worth it). We also have put together cards for the virtual Stamp Camp North and I will share those with you as soon as I get the cards from our fearless leader.  We are also doing a virtual Rose Hill Grange stamp camp this month.  You can find the details for that in my post HERE, but if you have questions or concerns, leave me a comment or send me a note via the form in the sidebar.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Colorful Thanks

I wanted a pop of color in my life today and so I made this card:

It's an image from Bugaboo that I colored with my Stampin' Blends.  The card base is Highland Heather.  The Daffodil Delight layer was stamped using the two daisies from Daisy Lane in Daffodil Delight.  I layered the colored image on some Flirty Flamingo card stock and die cut a black thanks and it was done!

I hope to spend some time today checking out some of my new items from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  The catalog goes live on June 3 and I can hardly wait! It's an exciting time of the year for anyone who loves Stampin' Up!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

New in the Craft Cage

I got my pre-order of the new Stampin' Up! stuff and I am so excited.  I have been going through the haul and decided to try the dies that come with the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set.  These are some very dramatic dies!  Here is a card I made with them:

I have no idea what this card will end up with inside, but the outside is just gorgeous as far as I am concerned.  The inner layer is Pacific Point and the outline layer is Balmy Breeze.  It is mounted on a base of basic black and I think it is stunning!  A simple and really straightforward design that I think really packs a punch!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Sneak Peek at some new goodies

I spent yesterday finishing up my cards for Stamp Camp North.  Whew ... so glad they are done!  I will deliver them this afternoon, but in the meantime I snuck a few moments to play with some of my goodies from the new Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 catalog.  Here's the quick and easy card I made:

The card base is one of the new in-colors, Just Jade.  Although I am really going to miss those bright colors that retired this year, this is one of a lovely palette of new in-colors and I like it.  There is a layer of black cardstock and then a layer of dsp from the Forever Greenery pack.  The sentiment is from a new set called Forever Fern.  I also used a new set of dies called Tasteful Labels to cut the sentiment out.  The black label was cut with a die from the Stitched Nested Labels set and I punched a couple of slots in either end with an old retired punch from Sampin' Up!  I added a strip of the new Just Jade ribbon and called it done.  I can't wait until we can order the ink pads.  There are some really awesome greenery stamps in this stamp set and I am itching to ink them up.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Stella Says Sketch Challenge 810

I have 3 grandchildren graduating from 8th grade and going on to high school this year.  YIKES!  How did that happen? I played along in the Bugaboo Stella Says Sketch Challenge 810:

This is one of the cards I will be giving them:
The card base is Daffodil Delight with an embossed layer of Smoky Slate.  I cut the image out using some old Spellbinders dies from my stash.  The little graduation cap is an edited image from Bugaboo that I cut on my Scan n Cut machine.  The sentiment was computer generated and the cap and the sentiment were layered on a strip of Daffodil Delight using dimensionals.  I colored the Bugaboo images with some alcohol markers from my stash.

This was a fun card to make - only 2 more to go!  Four of my six grandchildren will now be in high school next year and it is just so hard to comprehend that they are soon to be entering adulthood, they were just babies yesterday!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Stamp Camp North - card for May!

We have been attempting to stay in contact with our crafty friends by having virtual stamp camps.  I made cards for the Sassy Chic Camp using a variation of THIS CARD.  For the upcoming Stamp Camp North, I am making this card:

The card base is Pear Pizzazz with a layer of Soft Seafoam under the DSP from the Garden Lane set.  I die cut one of the labels from the Ornate Labels die set in Pear Pizzazz and added a Happy Birthday sentiment stamped in Mossy Meadow on some white that was stamped with the leaves from the Very Versailles stamp set in Soft Seafoam.  I really like how it came out.

If you want information about any of the stamp camps I participate in, please let me know in the comments or by sending me an email (link in the sidebar) and I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!
