Sassy Chic card for September

I have been dying to use the gorgeous papers from the Peony Garden dsp pack.  Here is my card for September's Sassy Chic virtual card camp:

The card base is Petal Pink with a layer of Smoky Slate topped with a piece of the dsp.  The sentiment is from the Prized Peony stamp set and is stamped with Basic Gray on Whisper Whte and layered on Smoky Slate and both were punched using the Heartfelt punch pack.  The small flowers are from Basket of Blooms and are stamped in Basic Gray on Smoky Slate and punched using the Small Bloom punch.  The large flower is from the Floral Essence stamp set and is stamped twice in Basic Gray on Smoky Slate and punched using the Perennial Flower punch.  I added a couple of Gold Glitter dots for a bit of bling. I played with a lot of elements on this and thought that this was a pretty card that can be used to let someone know you are thinking of them.  In this time of crisis, that's important!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Rose Hill Grange Virtual Camp Card

Here's my card for this month's Rose Hill Grange virtuall camp card.  You may have noticed that I really like these fall colors!  The card base is Cajun Craze and it's layered with Basic Black and a stamped layer of Bumblebee.  Because of limitations on what we can sell in kits, the images are from companies other than Stampin' Up!  Gave me a great chance to use some of the hundreds of other stamps I have in my stash.  I stamped one of this month's new stamps from Technique Junkies called Chrysanthemums and it is stamped in Bumblebee.  There is one of the die cuts from the Sunflowers die set and I put a punched 3/4 inch circle of gold glimmer paper in the center.  The leafy element is cut in Basic Black using the Forever Flourishes dies and the sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla thick cardstock and is from my stamp stash.  The sunflower is cut using Gold Foil and I think it is just so lacy and delicate.

The card kits from this camp have all been super cute and the campers all seem to really love it.  Rose Hill Grange has been a fun setting for us, but it is small and very difficult to keep clean, so we have resorted to these card kits and it has gone over very big with the ladies and lets us all stay in touch and keep on creating!  If you would like more information about this project, please feel free to leave a comment (be sure to use your email address) and I will make sure you get on our mailing list.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Mini Catalog Demo Swap Card

I associate with an incredibly talented group of crafty ladies and we do a swap whenever a new catalog appears on the scene.  Here is my card for the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog:

This card is a total case of this card from Laura Milligan.  Card base is Thick Whisper White and I added a layer of Very Vanilla Thick cardstock that was embossed with the Scripty 3D embossing folder.  The dsp is from the Poinsettia Place pack, the ribbon is from the All the Trimmings ribbon combo and the die cuts are from the Poinsettia dies in Gold Foil (flower) and Whisper White (berry sprays).  I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Whisper White and used my Lovely Labels punch on the ends.  The addition of the Gold Glitter enamel dots topped things off.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

August Stamp Camp North Card

In our continued efforts to maintain contact with the other creative people we usually stamp with, we once again did a card kit camp.  We all are missing the crafty comaraderie, but at least this way we keep contact with our crafting buddies.  Here is the card I made for Stamp Camp North this month:

We will be discussing whether we want to return to holding in person camps soon, but many of us and many of our campers are in a high risk group and it might not really be safe to do so.  The lodge is open if we want to, we just don't know yet.

Card base is Pacific Point with a layer of Just Jade and an embossed layer of Balmy Blue that was embossed with the Seabed 3D embossing folder.  There is a strip of Whale of a Time designer series paper and the sentiment panel was stamped using Pacific Point, punched with the Rectangular Postage Stamp punch and layered on Pacific Point and Just Jade and popped up using dimensionals.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Hello?

I am still here, just dealing with day to day issues and also a few health related issues as well.  I have lots to share and hope to be back and posting on a more regular basis soon!  Blogger has a new interface and I am slowly but surely getting used to it.  Lots of changes and am still deciding if I like them or not. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!
