Now they are 7!

Today is the twins birthday - they are 7 years old.  Grandpa commented this morning that the years have just flown by - it is so hard to believe that these two:

are now these two:

They are both beautiful, healthy, happy children and we are so blessed to have them in our lives.  We will be celebrating with them this evening and I just can't wait!

Here are the doll dresses that I made for Isabella's doll:

These were harder than I expected, but not all that difficult.  I have fabric set out to make several more (different styles of course) and while I am at it I am going to make a few more for my new doll (of course grandma had to have one too so that I could make sure the clothes fit - you know how that is right?)  Julian wanted a set of walkie talkies and grandpa found some fun ones for  him and I expect he and little brother will be testing those out tonight!

Couple more projects to share ....

Here are a couple more new projects I have to share with you:

Both of these projects were created with bits and pieces of leftover scraps on my work desk!  Easy peasy lemon squeezy (as my grandson Julian is fond of saying).

I have added a "New Freebies" button over there on the right sidebar.  If you end up here and are looking for the Monday Freebie, just click the button to get all the Monday Freebie posts with the most current on top.  There is also a tab on the bar just below the blog header that contains links to all of my older freebie files.  I'll be adding the new ones there at the end of each month.

There is a Sassy Chic Stamp Camp this weekend at the Life Bridge Church in Longmont, Colorado.   If you live in the area and might be interested, shoot me an email (link in the sidebar) and I'll get the flyer to you!  Next weekend, February 9, is the North Area Stamp Camp at the Westminster Elks Lodge in Westminster, Colorado.  I will be a demo at that camp and if you are interested in coming, please let me know and I will get the information to you.  Both camps are 10 fun projects, yummy snacks, door prizes and lots of great company for $25.

Here's the first of the Valentine/Love freebies for you:

JPG

Once again, I am having issues saving this as a png file.  It comes up all black.  Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?  Enjoy and as always, I'd love to see what you create.  Leave me a link and I'll come by for a visit!

I've got some more projects to share this week and I thought I would post some pix of the doll clothes I've been making if anyone's interested?

Still Playing!

Here are a couple more cards playing with new toys:

Today I need to spend some time sewing and crocheting!  I am making some doll clothes for my granddaughter's 7th birthday.  I found a wonderful wicker suitcase that I plan to put them in as well that needs a little tender loving care.  She and her twin brother will be 7 on January 31!  You can see some of their history here.  Such a joy to watch them bloom and grow into the wonderful individuals that they are.  I'll share some current pix on the 31st.

More new projects

While I was recovering from the novo virus I consoled myself about not being able to go to Leadership in Florida by playing with my new toys.   Here are a couple more projects that I created:

I am loving all the wonderful new items in the Stampin' Up! Spring Mini catalog and Saleabration brochure!  So much fun and so many opportunities to get creative! The top project was just playing around with the stamp-a-ma-jig using the Madison Avenue stamp set and in looking at it now I see that I didn't do a very good job of lining things up.  Might need a redo on that one!

We had a Front Range Stampers meeting on Monday night (such a fun and talented bunch of ladies!) and I have swaps to share from that meeting tomorrow and I still have quite a few of my own projects to show you too.  I'm hoping the pictures will be better too.  I managed to take shots of the projects in natural daylight!  YAY!  No sun exactly, but at least daylight!  The sun keeps trying to come through, but hasn't quite made it yet today.  At least we are out of the single digits and back to manageable temperatures.  I find as I get older that I am much less tolerant of the cold than I used to be.

What I've been up to lately ....

I've been playing with some of my new toys from the SU Spring Mini Catalog and the Saleabration flyer.  I've got lots to show, but let's start with just a few ...

The bottom card was dh's birthday card - he turned 69 years young yesterday!  As always, if you would like the details of what I used on each card, just ask in the comments or shoot me an email (link is in the sidebar) and I will email you all the gory details!

Trying to Get My Groove Back

I'm feeling quite a bit better, but haven't had much spare energy.  This weekend I took some time to sit down at my desk and create!  It sure felt good.  Here's one of my projects using some of the fun new stuff in the Spring Mini and Saleabration catalogs:

I made several cards and will share them through the week this week.  The weather has been bitterly cold with not much sunlight and I'm hoping for at least one sunny day this week so that I can get some decent lighting for photos.

Don't forget to check out my blogoversary blog candy!  I will use random.org to pick a winner on Wednesday!

I have a new freebie for you tomorrow so be sure to stop back and check it out.

Monday Freebie - 1/7//2013

Sorry to be late in posting this, but dh and I have both come down with the novo virus and have been quite ill.  No trip to Florida in my future I fear.  Maybe next year!

JPG

For some reason, the png version of this is not coming through.  So sorry.  If I get it worked out, I'll repost it with next week's freebie.

This is to help with all those "thank you" notes that need to be sent out after the holidays.  Please don't forget about my blog candy.  I'll pick a winner next week!
