SFYTT - Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I have not done many challenges in the last few weeks, work has taken up most of my energy. But gotta pay the bills - and buy the stamps, paper, ink, ribbon, ...

This is for Jen's Sketch for You to Try this weekend. There are lots of wonderful cards in the SCS gallery too, so be sure to check them out.

The cute flower stamp on this card came from the hot stuff bin at Archiver's and the bling was a package of flower sequins, also from Archiver's. The torn strip is paper from my good friend Sabrina and when you tear it, it shows the color from the other side! Very cool stuff - thanks Sabrina!

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: clear stamp from Archiver's; Friendship Blooms
Paper: Basic Grey, Soft Sky, Sabrina's fun stuff, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
Ink: basic black, cameo coral, soft sky, tempting turquoise, markers
Accessories: cb, gel pen, sequin flowers, mini brads, ribbon from Mike's

I used my tempting turquoise spot on the cuttlebugged piece of soft sky to color the dots - first time trying that and it worked much better than I thought. Didn't make nearly the mess I was afraid I would!

I had two gals email me about the pif blog candy that never responded with snail mail addresses, so I am looking for two more folks to step up and claim these packages. If you are interested, please send me an email (see the right hand column) with your address and the first two to respond will get a cool envelope of stuff in the mail. Also, check out my 3000K celebration candy. I'll pick a winner on Tuesday, so get your comments in! Thanks so much everyone who has left comments. Your kind words are much appreciated!

Thanks for visiting - have a wonderful week! I'll be back tomorrow with a card for Julee's Mojo Monday challenge - I just love starting the week with that!

Tuesdays Stamping Gathering

Here are the pictures from Tuesday nights gathering. I am having trouble getting used to my new camera and the pictures aren't what I would ultimately like, but we'll go with them for now. There were two cards that no matter what I did I could not get them to photograph worth a darn, so I didn't and to those gals I apologize for leaving your cards out. We had a great time and it was so much fun to meet all these stampers I had not met before. Thanks so much to everyone.

I noticed that I have gone over the 3000 hits mark, so tomorrow I will be putting up some celebration blog candy, so be sure to come back and visit!

Thanks so much for stopping by! ~chris

Blog Candy - PIF - round two!

While waiting for three folks to sign up for last week's blog candy pif, I got another pif package in the mail. I now have five of the packages pictured above ready and waiting for someone to claim them. Meggie is already in, how about you? The only thing you need to do is make up your own little gift package and either post it on your blog or pick three friends and make them a gift of it with instructions that they are to pass on the creative energy to three more folks. It is so much fun! I got a wonderful package from Mary and another from Denise. Just send me an email at the address on the right side of my blog, or leave me a comment with a way to contact you and your goodies will be on their way!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I'm getting close to the 3k hits mark so watch for some more special blog candy coming up soon.

Easter Cards for the Grandkids

Here's my Easter cards for my grandchildren. We had hoped to have an egg hunt in the yard tomorrow, but the snow kind of put a damper on that idea. We'll hide them around the house and they can stay warm and dry (and so can I)! I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and thanks so much for visiting. I got a new camera, so hopefully I'll get back on track with putting things up to share. I have some more PIF blog candy that I hope to get posted tomorrow or Monday so be sure to come back and check it out. ~chris

Stamp Camp Possible #2

Stamp Camp Possible #1

My Monday night stamp camp is getting together and this is the first of 3 possible cards we'll make. I'm thinking about using my little bunny from the other day and one more in the Easter theme. We're also going to make Nancy Morgan's wonderful little baskets.

Recipe:
Stamps: Season by Season, Just for Fun
Paper: lovely lavendar cs and dp, apricot appeal, certainly celery, cameo coral
Ink: c
Accessories: punches, cb, brads, gel pen, and even though you can't see them in this photo, there are little Robin's Nest dd water blingy things on the bottom of the lovely lavender dp

Thanks for visiting my blog. Be sure to check out the pif blog candy I got yesterday! I will be sending out my own version of Mary's great package to three people willing to play along and "pay it forward" to three more folks.

Blog Candy - PIF!

Okay bloggers ... check out this fantastic package I got in the mail from Mary. Isn't it great. Here's the deal. The first three folks who comment on this blog and let me know that they want to play will get a similar type of package from me. The agreement is that you will then send a package to three other folks. If you don't have a blog and still want to play, you can just pick three folks you want to "pay it forward" to and send them something to spark their creativity and tell them to pass it along to three more folks. This is my first pif challenge and I need your help to keep it going. Just let me know you want to play and send me an email (there's a link in that right hand column down the page aways) and give me your snail mail address and your surprise package will be on it's way to you.

Thanks for playing and for helping me keep this going! ~chris

Swaps, Make & Take and goodies!

I think I am getting back on track here. This is kind of a long post tonight. I wanted to
feature all the wonderful stuff I have gotten from fellow bloggers as well as my swap and make and take for tomorrow.

Here is my swap for our March downline meeting. I am always so nervous making cards for these super stamping gals in my downline group. I hope to have another slide show of our swaps to put up tomorrow. Everyone enjoyed last month's slide show, so I plan to try it again.

Recipe:
Stamps: So Many Scallops, Curvy Verses, Friendship Blooms
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Whisper White, Spring Fling DP

Ink: Regal Rose
Accessories: SU Regal Rose ribbon, scallop circle punch, button from my button
box

The baskets are from a tutorial by Nancy Morgan (Paper Smiles). They are so cute and so easy and I know the gals are going to have fun making them tomorrow.

This is the wonderful package I got from Chat aka nitestamper on SCS (Me, My Stamps and I) for sending her the pattern for the love notes box. Isn't it spectacular?

This is the blog candy that I got from Cindy Vernon (Creating with the Heart)

This is the blog candy I got from Wanda (My Creative Corner)

Check out these wonderful stamper's blogs, the talent out there is incredible.

Last but not least is the wonderful present I got for my birthday from my ddl Autumn and son Kelly. She knows how organizationally challenged I am and got this to help me be able to put my hands on my paper when I need it. She's the best!

Next week I am going to be paying it forward with some great blog candy, so be sure to come back and check it out. I apologize for the wierd spacing ... I'm still trying to get the hang of this blogging thing.

Thanks for visiting! ~chris

Happy Easter

I think my mojo is slowly coming back. The toe is much better today and things are starting to look up again! Got some wonderful goodies in the mail and hope to have some pix to share with you tomorrow. This card features some new ribbon from Taylored Expressions - for those of you with a similar addiction to ribbon, her shop is a must visit! See the links on the side of my page for a link to her shop. Card base is gable green and accent colors are pretty in pink, soft sky and barely banana. I used my new cuttlebug dotted swiss folder and also one of the small embossing folders for the square around the bunny. I got the bunny in a bulk buy of stamps on ebay - so many pounds for so many dollars. He's a keeper for sure and it says Eureka Stamps on the side of the wood.

Thanks for hanging in there with me as I try to get my priorities straight! Hopefully, I will get back on track now and have somethings to share every day.

Thanks for visiting my blog. ~chris

Goodies from Heaven ...

Well, maybe not that far, but Canada! I got these goodies from Corinne and wanted to share some pix with you. The first is of my gorgeous wood blocks - this is several sets (my ddl needs some too), but you can get all the details and pricing at Stamping with Roxy.

Corinne is an awesome stamper and a total pleasure to deal with. I also got one of her wonderful pull-out scrapbooks. Take a look:

If you want one too, check out this post on her blog.

I also found one of the cards I made for last week's workshop. I got the inspiration from a card on SCS and now cannot find it. Sorry about that.

Well, hopefully this week will work out better than last! The toe is still really painful, but I'm getting around okay. Have lots going this week and hopefully will have lots to share. Thanks for visiting my blog!

An Update

Well, here I sit surrounded by wonderful stamps sets and great tools, and zip to show for it. I made a bunch of things today, but none of them came out like I think they should and none are good enough to waste a photo - even a digital one - on. This week has been a bad one. I have been totally swamped at work and at a meeting on Thursday (in front of everybody) I tripped, fell and broke my toe (big toe, right foot). I managed to make some projects for my SAB party on Wednesday and took pictures, but can't find them anywhere. I gave the demo cards away too.

Tomorrow is the start of a new week though! I have a downline meeting on Thursday for which I need 16 swaps and at which I am doing a demo. No clue yet what I'm going to do, but some of my best work is still ahead of me ... right?

Anyway, I have been blurfing like crazy and picking up lots of cool inspiration and hopefully, this week will be better than last. Thanks for being patient with me and come back this week and see if I manage to stamp my way out of this creative funk I've gotten myself into. I'm off to RICE (rest, ice, compress and elevate) the stupid toe. I went grocery shopping today (dh hates to grocery shop) and it probably wasn't the smartest thing I've done lately. Thanks so much for visiting! ~chris

I'm still alive!

I didn't drop off the face of the earth. Have just been so busy I can't see straight. Need to get through today and then maybe I can get back to normal. Thanks for visiting and come back tomorrow and I will have some images from my party tonight! ~chris
