Happy Saturday!

It is bitter cold out (single digits) but the sun is shining and it is NOT snowing!  I think it will be a good day to stay in and play in the craft cave.  I love looking out the window at the blue sky, sunshine and snow - just not too keen on going out in it and freezing.

I saw this project and just had to give it a try.  When you subscribe for the month, you get all the cute February projects too - not just this one:

Here's a close up of a couple of the cards that are in this cute box:

There are six cards and six envelopes and I am working on making one just a tad bigger that would hold eight cards and envelopes.  This is an easy and very cute set to make and I think it will be my door prize item for the Sassy Chic Stamp Camp on March 7:
Here are some of the products used to make this fun project:

Sassy Chic Stamp Camp - March 7, 2015

I missed the February camp because of our Florida trip so I am really looking forward to March's camp.  Here is what the campers will chose from at my table:

I love butterflies and this technique was so fun and, most importantly, easy peasy to do!  I think the campers will have a great time with this project.

Here is some more information on this camp and if you have any questions just send me an email (link in the sidebar) or leave me a comment and I will get back to you.
The garage sale at this camp is an added bonus - come and check out all the items and you just might find that stamp set or designer paper that you have always been looking for.  I will also have a new feature on this blog that will list all of the items that I have for sale.  Look for that in the next week or so.

Thanks for visiting!

Here are some of the products I used in creating this project:

Sunset - Ft. Walton Beach, Florida

Tonight is our last night in Florida.  Tomorrow we hit the road and head for Coloardo. Don't know when we willactually hit the old home place, but hopefully sometime Saturday afternoon or Sunday.  Here is a photo of the sunset from the deck of the condo:

It's gorgeous here, but I will be glad to get home.

I lost two good friends while I was on this trip.  My pottery mentor and great friend Robin Furuta, lost her battle with cancer and my friend and co-worker Rose Cuny lost hers as well. A great loss to all who were fortunate enough to know them.

I love birds!

Here's a picture from my back door at the house we are staying at here in Kissimmee:

Aren't they simply gorgeous!  We are here for a few more days enjoying some family time and we will be moving on further south before heading to the northern gulf coast of Florida for even more family time.

Hopefully more pictures to come soon!

Progress Report

Sandy shores
For anyone interested in where we are and how we are doing - we are currently in West Palm Beach, Florida and headed for Kissimmee. The business part of the trip is finished as we were able to check out several marinas down the coast beginning in Brunswick, GA.  I think we have found a new home for Belmira in Tiger Bay Marina on Ameilia Island which is on the north east coast of Florida.  It is lovely and DH fell in love with the feel of the place.  We spent the night in St. Augustine in a very lovely hotel reminiscent of the days when the Spanish first landed to explore the area.

We are both a little road weary and will be glad to settle for a few days and visit with family.  We will head north later in the week to visit DH's brother on the panhandle of Florida and then we will be headed home.  I for one will be grateful to be on the road home.  I miss the craft cave!

I will check in again and let you know how things are going.

Senior Center Cards

I am working with two other fine demonstrators in a class at a local senior center this month.  My assignment was the birthday card!  Here's some samples of what we will be making;

My favorite models

Here are some pix of my darling grandchildren modeling their scarves:

We are headed out for Georgia/Florida to research marinas and visit my mom for her birthday on the 10th.  My mom has not had all 5 of her children with her at once in nearly 40 years so it should be a good time. Hope to have some pix of our journey coming up in the next few weeks.
