This blog is officially 10 YEARS OLD!

On this date 10 years ago I began this journey.  For all of you who have hung in there with me throughout the 1469 posts - all of you who have visited over 158,,000 times - THANK YOU!

I am not always consistent (so what else is new), but the thing I have been very consistent about is my gratitude to all the wonderful friends that I have made through this blog.  Friends that I have and haven't met in person, but love just the same.  It has been a journey that I am grateful to have taken.

I don't know exactly what the future holds, but I know that spending time with you (even if infrequently) is totally a worthwhile endeavor.

It is probably time for a re-design and I hope to tackle that when we return from our sailing journey this season.  We shall see what the future holds and I am not confident enough to even attempt to predict what that might be!  Stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting!

Update

Well, as usual I am remiss in my postings.  Needless to say, things have been a bit crazy and therefore I am (more than) a bit crazy, but you already knew that right?  I really did think that if I could just get through September without losing my mind, things would be great!  Well, September turned into October and October turned into November and November turned into December, and well, you know where this is going.

I have been making things and doing things and teaching things like crazy.  I just don't have enough time (or energy) to chronicle them all here.  Suffice it to say though, it has been a fantastic fall/winter season so far in the crafting (and personal) side of life.  I will admit to still being more than a little depressed over the state of things in this great nation of ours, but we won't go there.  It has colored nearly every aspect of my life and I am holding out hope that things will get better in the new year.

I have been making cards, making gift tags (like crazy) and generally enjoying a good bit of crafty fun.  I have been coloring, painting, stamping, crocheting, knitting, reading and overall becoming immersed in the art of creating.  Whoever said that retirement was an opportunity to kick back and relax has never been part of our lives!  DH and I are enjoying our retirement years in the only way we know how - BUSILY!

My baby turned 42 yesterday:

I still have trouble believing that so much time has passed since his birth.  He is truly a marvel and a wonder and I am thankful every single day that I can call him my son!

We are frantically preparing for an unexpected Christmas Day celebration at our house.  Trying not to over-do things, but also trying to keep things festive and fun.  Kids, spouses, ex-spouses and grand-kids will be here celebrating with us and we are looking forward to a food and fun-filled day.

After Christmas sometime, we head out for several months aboard Belmira.
This year we hope to make it to the Bahamas and get in some sailing, fishing, relaxing and snorkeling before heading back to Colorado in the spring.  I hope to be able to stay in touch with everyone, but sometimes you just need to get lost!

Thanks for visiting and hanging in there with me as I muddle through this wonderful life!
