I am sure that the gals that have participated in this virtual camp so far are happy with the cards they have been getting, at least those that have talked to me about it.  The cards are great and if you choose the kit option,, you can put it together any way you would like.  Make it exactly like the picture or add your own stamps or embellishments and make it your very own.

Christmas in July at Sassy Chic!

As has been our tradition for many years, Sassy Chic Stamp Camp is having it's annual Christmas in July camp!  This is the card I have designed:

The card base and the background pieces are Shaded Spruce.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas and is cut out using a die from Stitched Rectangles and the tree is from Winter Woods, both are stamped using Shaded Spruce ink.  The piece under the sentiment was punched using the new Rectangular Postage Stamp punch and the tree was cut using my Scan n Cut machine.  The stars are punched from gold foil and everything is popped up using dimensionals.  The Poppy Parade layer was run through the Tin Tile embossing folder.  Pretty easy and straightforward and I think it is definitely Christmas-y!

Finalized New Catalog Swap Card

I finally got my card design finished for the new catalog swap that my fellow demos and I are participating in:

The card base is Terracotta Tile with a layer of Bumblebee topped by a layer of white that was stamped and then run through the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  The dsp is from the Ornate Garden suite and I used the sunflower stamp on Bumblebee using Early Espresso and layered it on a gold foil sunflower. I colored the center of the sunflower with a Bumblebee marker to make it stand out a bit. The center of the flower looked much better with a circle of gold glimmer paper, but since we no longer carry that, I just cut a gold circle out of the the center of the gold foil sunflower.  The leaves on the inside are stamped in Old Olive using a stamp from Verdant Garden.  The sentiment is from Posted for You.

We had a tremendous response to the May and June Card Camps.  The demo's at Stamp Camp North are happy to continue the "temporary" Card Camp, with a NEW TWIST - for our July 2020 camp you have the option to get the premade cards OR you can get a kit that includes all the parts, instructions for assembly and a picture of the completed card! Card Options for Rose Hill Grange Stamp Camp - June 2020

I needed a simple card for the kits for the "virtual" Rose Hill Grange Stamp Camp.  Here they are:

Either card can be made with the kit as the dsp can be turned over to select one pattern or the other.  The card base is Mossy Meadow with a layer of Old Olive under the dsp layer.  The dsp is from the Peaceful Poppies pack.  The leaf cluster is from the Forever Fern die set and it is cut in half and stuck under the Old Olive label cut from the Ornate Layers dies which is popped up on dimensionals.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with one of the rectangles from the Stitched Rectangle dies.

Sassy Chic Stamp Camp cards - June, 2020

These are the cards from this month's Sassy Chic virtual card camp.  I swiped the image from Sassy Chic's Facebook page!  If you are on FB, this is an excellent source for information about the status of upcoming events, so do go and visit.  These cards were all done in a "masculine" theme and can be used for all kinds of occasions.

I am busily working on making the cards for the Stamp Camp North virtual camp for June and making a few inroads in designing a card for this month's Rose Hill Stamp Camp, which is also a virtual camp.  I will have more details to share about that camp very soon.  It looks like that is going to be the case for a couple more months at least.  We are all cognizant of the fact that many of us and many of our crafty friends are in a high risk group and we don't see any sense at all in subjecting the campers or ourselves to unnecessary risk.  It's not the same as spending personal time with each other, but for the time being it is keeping us all safe and healthy.  Hang in there fellow crafters and know that all of us are thinking about you.

I have my first order from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog arriving today and am really looking forward to having the ink pads for the new in-colors!  I have a few stamp sets coming too which means more options for camps! Should prove to be a fun day!

2020-2021 Annual Catalog Swap - Alternative

I knew I wouldn't come up with the final card until I had tried some more colors and dsp combinations.  Here is another:

This time, I combined my original idea for the swap with the layout for the Stamp Camp North card and came up with this one.  The card base is Terracotta Tile with a layer of Bumblebee.  I then added a layer of white which was stamped in Terracotta Tile with a sentiment from Ornate Thanks and embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.  I then layered a piece of Ornate Garden dsp on a piece of Bumblebee and added it to the front of the card.  The sunflower base is a piece of dsp from the Birthday Bonanza dsp pack over which I layered a sunflower outline die cut from gold foil.  I added a punched piece of gold glimmer cardstock for the center of the sunflower. This won't be the final version as I need to substitute a different dsp for the sunflower base as the paper is retired now.

2020-2021 Annual Catalog Swap

There is a local group of demonstrators that I am friends with and they are having a swap using items from the new catalog.  I made a couple samples with the set I chose, (Celebrating Sunflowers) but I am not sure which one I want to use:

DH likes the middle one, but I am still on the fence!  The card base on all three is Night of Navy as is the larger label and the sunflower cut out.  The dsp used is from the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper pack.  The larger label was cut out from the Tasteful Labels dies and the white sentiment piece was created using the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.  The sentiment is from Ornate Thanks and was stamped with Night of Navy ink.  The embossed piece is the new in color Misty Moonlight and it was embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder.  I added a white mat after making the top one and I do like it better.  I punched out a 3/4" circle from a scrap piece of silver glimmer paper.  I added rhinestones to the sentiment and now I just have to decide if this is the card I want to use and if so, which one!  This is a fun stamp and die combination with lots of potential so I might just keep experimenting!  Cards are not due until the end of June.  I have to make 20 or so and so the supply of dsp is also important.  I have more coming in my first order since the catalog went live and I hope it gets here soon!
