Rose Hill Grange

Today is our Rose Hill Grange stamp camp!   We do this camp every other month and it is so much fun.  Here is the card the gals will be making at my table:

This month it was my turn to make the gifts.  I normally struggle with 3d items, but my buddy Dave has a die to cut the covers for these fun mini coffee cups and that made this one fun and easy!  I think his store is currently down being updated, but it will be worth your time to keep trying as he has some totally wonderful products that coordinate perfectly with stamp sets from Stampin' Up!  My card this month was created using Stampin' Up! stamps sets (By the Tide, From Land to Sea and Guy Greetings) and dies that I got from Dave!  I also used the new banner dies and coordinating stamp sets from Stampin' Up along with some gorgeous stitched rounded rectangles from Pink & Main that I purchased from Simon Says Stamp.  The tag on the coffee cup is stamped using a sentiment from Thankful Thoughts (Stampin' Up!) on another stitched die from Simon Says Stamp.  The ribbon and the dsp is also from Stampin' Up!  The cups are filled with fun candy to give the gals some extra energy for stamping!

July Downline Meeting

Each month, the Rocky Mountain Inky Fingers group gets together to share creativity and celebrate each other.  This month one of the gals from up in the mountains is having some issues with her Baby Bear stamp set.  I wanted to have my make and take project try to address some of the issues.  I made a couple of samples to start out with:

and then finally settled on a design for the make and take project:

I used my MISTI on all of these (which I know made it much easier than for someone that does not have one - yet), but I will also be bringing along blocks, a Stamp-a-ma-Jig and my foam pad from the die brush set as I think the coverage issues can be helped by having a bit of a squishy surface under the paper.  The nicest thing about the MISTI is that if you get uneven coverage, you can always ink it up again and re-stamp without worrying about your images being lined up!  The Stamp-a-ma-Jig also works for this but since getting my MISTI, I really have not used it that much.  I am hoping that somehow SU finds a way to make this wonderful tool available to my customers!

PP303 - A color challenge!

I really loved the color challenge this week at Paper Players:  Mint Macaron, Island Indigo and Sweet Sugarplum:

Here's my card:

I used a 110 lb. Neenah White card base and sponged the three colors through a template cut from vellum.  The dragonfly is just a small single stamp I picked up at a LSS and it along with the sentiment are stamped in Memento black.  I brushed some clear Wink of Stella on the dragonflies and added a couple small dots of Crystal Blizzard Nuvo crystal drops.  The lettering is a new (to me) set that I snagged when it became available again from Altenew and it is called Invisible Alpha.

Stamp Camp North - July 9, 2016

This card is based on a card that was very generously given to me at a downline meeting I attended for a group I don't really belong to.  The gals were totally wonderful and I got several very inspiring cards!  Stampin' Up! demonstrators are really the most wonderful people in the world!

I used some navy blue sock yarn for the bow and I think it worked out just fine.  This is a really fun camp and if you are in the area, you should definitely come and check it out!

Work is progressing on the RV and DH nearly has all the old graphics scraped off and it is ready for the new graphics!  Our son is a graphic artist who makes vinyl designs for wraps on cars and trucks and trailers and most everything that moves.  He also does wonderful photographs that have been used all over the area.  I will have pictures of the new graphics on the RV when it is complete.
