Kaboodle Doodles - Shades of Purple

This week's challenge at Kaboodle Doodles is to use shades of purple (my favorite color).  Here's the inspiration:

Here's my card:

Our sponsor this week is Pink Gem Designs and I used their Spring Milly image for this card.  Isn't she sweet?

There's a Sassy Chic Stamp Camp coming up this weekend and last night Sabrina and I brainstormed to finish my project.  I'll have some photos of the various results for you tomorrow.  Didn't get a chance to get any photos taken, but we sure had fun figuring it out.  I think the campers will have fun with it.  If you want any more information about the Sassy Chic Stamp Camp or the North Area Stamp Camp, just shoot me an email and I will send you the info.

I also have some pictures of the celebrations at my house this past weekend, but I have not figured out yet how to get the photos off my new iPad (yes - I am the proud owner of one of these lovelies thanks to a wonderful and thoughtful DH - thanks John!).  My wonderful DDL made a gorgeous cake on Sunday and I also had a delicious dinner and cake with Kael, Natalie, Eric and Lorena on Saturday night!  Such yummie-ness!

Thanks for visiting!

Front Range Stampers Swaps

For the last several months I have been attending the monthly meeting of the Front Range Stampers group.  This is a group of veteran and novice Stampin' Up! demonstrators and I have to tell you, this is a really talented group of ladies.  I am always so inspired by these meetings!  Here are the swaps from this month's meeting:

I was the hostess this month and chose the theme black, white and one other color for our swaps.  Here's mine:

I also did a make and take project:

We made this same card at a workshop I had for my bff Sabrina.  There were 12 fun gals and we had a ton of fun.  I have another card from that workshop to share, but I have to find the pix of it first!  I've taken so many pictures in the last few weeks and need to sort through them all.

Hopefully I will get some time in the craft studio this week.  There's a Sassy Chic Stamp Camp coming up on March 3 and a North Area Stamp Camp on March 10 so watch for some fun projects for those events.  If you are in the Boulder/Denver area and want information on these very fun camps, be sure to shoot me and email and I will send you a flyer.

I'm still putting together the blogoversary candy package.  Maybe this weekend I'll figure things out enough to get it posted!  My bday is coming up too so that will be another excuse to celebrate.

Thanks for visiting!

Kaboodle Doodles Challenges

Well as I've been mostly absent for the past few days, I'll do a little catch-up here.  These are my most recent Kaboodle Doodles challenge cards:

Challenge #106

Challenge #107

We've got some new team members over there - Ceal Pritchett and Nancy Parker - so pop over and check out all the great creations from the design team.

I've got Front Range Stampers swap cards to share with you - as always they were exceptional!  I also did a make and take for that meeting that was lots of fun and I'll have those to share with you later today or tomorrow so be sure to stop back.  I'm really going to try to get things posted a bit faster, but you know how life can sometimes get in the way.

My sweet grandson got his first big boy haircut!  Check it out:

His talented mommy made some cupcakes for me for my downline meeting last week too - check these out!  She is so talented and has a website HERE so go visit and see all her wonderful creations.

Don't those look so yummy?  Well - they really were - red velvet cake and a wonderful creamy icing.  She used the new Twitterpated papers from the SU Occasions Mini catalog as her inspiration and I die cut some wrappers to go with them.  They were totally delicious!

I'm not at all happy with all the changes that Blogger is making.  HTML code that is so messy totally irritates me!  Rant over - I'll get over it!  Maybe I need to find another way to edit and post - any suggestions anyone?

Thanks for visiting!

Greetings from Kissimmee!

Sorry to have been so absent lately.  I was getting ready for and then going on a trip to Florida with DH and DS to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday.  I've been busy catching up with aunts and uncles and cousins.  The big party is today and we head home tomorrow so I should be back on track soon.  Haven't had reliable internet either which has been a blessing and a curse!

Here's a slideshow of the Sassy Chic Stamp Camp on February 4:

This was my project:

Hope to be back on track this week!
