Kaboodle Doodles and a Flower to Share

Out front next to that lovely daffodil I shared last week is this beauty:

I love these flowers, not just because they're purple (well mostly because they're purple), but I also think they are gorgeous to look and and lovely to smell.

Here's my card for this week's Kaboodle Doodles challenge which is to use circles and squares.  Stop over and check out the other creations by the dt - they are wonderful.

Busy week this week with the kids home on spring break, but I'll be back later in the week with some more goodies.

Thanks for visiting!

Front Range Stampers Swaps

The third Monday of every month is the meeting of the Front Range Stampers.  FRS is a group of wonderful SU demonstrators who get together and share their knowledge and skils.  We have dinner at the iHop before the meeting and share our accumulated swaps and samples from the previous month's stamping activities.  After dinner we head over to a local church where we talk about what's happening and do two make and take projects.  You've seen my swap and make and take project for this month HERE.  Here's a slideshow of all of the other swaps from that meeting:

The Monday Night Stampers will be back at it next Monday night. I am taking the weekend off from formal stamping activities and hope to spend some time outdoors and some time just making things that make me happy - cards, scarves  baby blankets, maybe even a bowl or mug (or two). I'll try and get some pix of the pottery studio to share with you. It's in much better shape than it has been, but still needs some TLC to get it back into production mode. So many things to do, so little time! The plight of most of the creative people I know.

Spring has Sprung and a couple of cards to share too!

Well, the first signs of the arrival of spring have appeared in my garden:

This jewel was the one and only for several days, but now the side garden is just full of gorgeous yellow blooms!  The tulips and hyacinth are not far behind either.  It's cooler here today, but the sun is shining and the horrendous overnight winds have subsided.  There were times last night when I thought it would blow the roof off!

Here's my Kaboodle Doodles challenge card for today:

Our challenge is to show us some cuteness and our sponsor is Di's Digi Downloads.  Be sure to stop by and check out the projects from the design team!

Tonight is the Front Range Stampers meeting and I am doing a make and take project as well as a swap.  Here's the swap:

Here's the make and take project:

Both of these fun projects were created using a kit from the marvelous and oh so talented Jackie Topa.  You can find this kit by clicking HERE and I think you will find that she has created some really, really fun punch projects.  The make and take project was cased from her blog post HERE.

More Flowers!

Hello everyone!  Our spring weather is holding out and I think I will have blossoms on my daffodils by Sunday.  WOW!  I'll take some pictures and share them with you.  Here are three more flower cards that I made to go in the card box that I hope to put together on Sunday:

As always, if you want any more information on any of these projects, just shoot me an email and I will answer any questions.

Rushing around to get finished and get outside today!  Thanks for visiting!

Signs of Spring!

Our Colorado weather has been exceptional for the past few days and it looks like it will stay with us at least through the weekend.  YAY!  It has put me in the mood for coloring flowers and here's some that I colored up to share with you:

I wanted to make some basic notecards that could be mailed without extra postage.  These will get bundled with another 3 cards and I think I'll make a nice box for them too!  I have been playing with my new diagonal scoring tool from SU and it sure does make creating customized boxes and envelopes so much easier!

The top card is a digital image from A Day for Daisies that I colored with my copic markers.  The bottom two are stamps that were stamped and colored.  I don't have them in front of me so I can't tell you what they are but if you want to know, just email me and I'll let you know.

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #110

Time for another Kaboodle Doodles challenge!  This week we are sponsored by the marvelous Melissa Jenkins of Meljen's Designs.  The challenge is to "Show Us Some Green!"  I am so wanting spring to be here and, at least today, the weather is cooperating.  Sunny and warm and I can already see the poppies, tulips, daffodils and hyacinth popping their heads up.  We may still see some snow before it's all said and done, but today is glorious and I'm going to enjoy it.  Here's my card:

I hope that wherever you are your weather is sunny and bright too!  I do not have all of the cards from this weekend's stamp camp yet, but when I do I will share them with you.

Sassy Chic Slideshow

As promised, here's a slide show of our projects from last Saturday's Sassy Chic Stamp Camp:

It was so much fun!  This Saturday is the North Area Stamp Camp and I will have a slide show to show you of that on Sunday (weather permitting).

Tomorrow is my downline meeting and I am doing a make and take:

I'm also going to show the gals how to use the new diagonal scoring tool.  Jackie Topa has some wonderful videos on her site illustrating how to make envelopes and boxes.  Thanks Jackie!

Well, gotta get some rest so I'm ready to roll in the morning.

Thanks for visiting!

Kaboodle Doodles - Think Spring!

Well don't faint now, I'm actually posting my Kaboodle Doodles card on the day the challenge posts! I love poppies (mine are actually starting to come up already) and so I chose to use the lovely poppy image from The Stamping Boutique.  Tracey is so talented and I love coloring her images.  Here's my card:

I mounted the image on some Poppy Parade (SU) cardstock and then added it to a layer of Teresa Collins dsp that I put through the Big Shot (SU) using a cute new embossing folder I picked up at HL.  The card base is Daffodil Delight (SU).

There's a downline meeting coming up on Thursday and the North Area Stamp Camp on Saturday so watch for some samples of projects for those two as well as a slide show of the wonderful projects from this weekend's Sassy Chic Stamp Camp.  We had a total blast and the cards were all gorgeous.

Now for a bit of a grandma moment.  My DGD Natalie got a haircut this weekend and I couldn't resist sharing this photo that my DDL took of her:

I know that I am slightly prejudiced, but isn't she just the cutest?  Grandma moment over - thanks for indulging me!

Bunch of Stuff to share today!

Well, let's see if I can't get a little bit caught up with what's been going on in the old crafty den.  First up - the fun card from Sabrina's workshop (plus a freebie for you!).

Here's the freebie word art for you.  Just right click and save it to your computer.

Then, here's a couple of cards in the works for Autumn's workshop on the 17th:

Not sure which of the top 2 I will use.  I like them both!  We're also going to make the card I used for my Front Range Stampers make and take - you can see that HERE.

Tomorrow is the Sassy Chic Stamp Camp in Longmont, CO.  This event happens on the first Saturday of every month and is always a total blast.  If you want more information, just email me and I'll send you a flyer.  Sabrina and I were working on a couple of ideas for this project.  I'm going to show you (in order of creation) how I got to my final choice.

I think that I like all of these, but the gals tomorrow will have lots of fun creating the final project.  I'm loving the Crumb Cake/Island Indigo combination!
