Kaboodle Doodles - Shades of Purple

This week's challenge at Kaboodle Doodles is to use shades of purple (my favorite color).  Here's the inspiration:

Here's my card:

Our sponsor this week is Pink Gem Designs and I used their Spring Milly image for this card.  Isn't she sweet?

There's a Sassy Chic Stamp Camp coming up this weekend and last night Sabrina and I brainstormed to finish my project.  I'll have some photos of the various results for you tomorrow.  Didn't get a chance to get any photos taken, but we sure had fun figuring it out.  I think the campers will have fun with it.  If you want any more information about the Sassy Chic Stamp Camp or the North Area Stamp Camp, just shoot me an email and I will send you the info.

I also have some pictures of the celebrations at my house this past weekend, but I have not figured out yet how to get the photos off my new iPad (yes - I am the proud owner of one of these lovelies thanks to a wonderful and thoughtful DH - thanks John!).  My wonderful DDL made a gorgeous cake on Sunday and I also had a delicious dinner and cake with Kael, Natalie, Eric and Lorena on Saturday night!  Such yummie-ness!

Thanks for visiting!

Hi Chris, what a pretty card, love that background!
Mmm.... I have no idea how to get photos off my iPad either, perhaps you could do a tutorial on it when you find out!!

I used to say that purple was not at all to my liking, but the more I see it used to such lovely effect as this, the more I like it.
This is a truly delightful creation, Chris...love it!

Hey Chris! I'm with Anne-Marie, I never really liked purple or yellow much and rarely use them. But your card is one that I like a lot! The background paper is what I think pulls it all together and really makes it pretty! Great job on this! Plus. . .
