Crazy Card Chicks - April 2022

Here is my card for this month's Crazy Card Chicks virtual stamp camp:
I used a piece of Basic Black for the card base with a layer of Gorgeous Grape topped with a stamped piece of Simply Marbelous dsp. The stamp is called In the Meadow from Technique Junkies. Every month I look forward to seeing the month's offering from TJ - always a fun experience. The sentiment was computer generated and die cut with a die from the Stitched Rectangles set. The inside was also layered on a piece of Gorgeous Grape and was computer generated as well. We are looking for a place to hold in-person camp but haven't found an affordable option just yet.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Stamp Camp North - April 2022

It's time for our monthly Stamp Camp North gathering of creative stampers! Here are the card choices for the campers who will visit my table:

The card utilizes that gorgeous paper pack I used in my last post -
Expressions in Ink. I just love this paper pack! The card base is white with layers of the dsp along with a layer of Basic Black. The sentiment is computer generated and cut using a die from the Stitched Rectangles dies. While the beautiful dsp will be retiring, at least the dies will hang around for another year! I also added some Champagne Rhinestones for just a little more bling! The inspiration for this card came from Jennifer Cotton (The Stamp Therapist). She is a wonderful stamper from Texas, USA and I would encourage you to visit her blog and get inspired!

Here's the information about this camp:

Just Playing

I've been making a bunch of cards lately that are not really for anyone in particular, just general stash cards. Here are a couple using some of the beautiful Expressions in Ink designer series paper:

I just love this paper and am so sad that it is retiring. Luckily, I have a stash!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Sassy Stampers - April 2022

The Sassy Stampers stamp camp is coming up next weekend. Here is the card the campers will be making at my table:
This camp is always so much fun and I am really looking forward to the opportunity to play with paper with these fun campers! I wanted to use up some of my Misty Moonlight card stock. It's such a pretty color and I have enjoyed using it for the last 2 years. Sorry to see it go! The dsp on the inside flap is from the Pattern Party pack and the dsp on the outside is from the Heart & Home pack. The doily is from the Heart & Home doily pack and the sentiment on the outside is from Sentimental Swirls. The sentiment on the inside is from Biggest Wish. Both of these are very fun sets to play with. I colored some pearls with the Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blend and added them to the sentiment. This type of card is called a Joy Fold and it was really fun to make.

Here is the information on this camp and, as always, if you have questions just leave me a comment.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Playing with New Horizons DSP part 2

Here are a couple more cards I made using the wonderful New Horizons DSP pack from Stampin' Up!

Both cards are on Basic White card bases with a layer of Night of Navy with the DSP on top of that. I can't stress enough how wonderful this 6x6 DSP pack of paper is. It's just gorgeous and so far I have only used two of the great patterns in the pack!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Single Layer Fun

I have seen so many fun cards made with this set that I had to pull it out and play with it a bit. This is Wildflower Path by Stampin' Up! I had this sentiment on my desk and decided to make a single layer card using that sentiment and the stamp set:
This was a bit time consuming, but I think it came out very nice. Single layer cards are always fun and they are so easy to mail! I think if I make more I may simplify it just a bit and try to be a bit more precise in my stamping, but for a first try I am happy.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Playing with New Horizons DSP part 1

I am having great fun playing with the New Horizons dsp pack from Stampin' Up!

Both cards are on Evening Evergreen card bases with a Calypso Coral layer and then the dsp. On the top one I used a gold butterfly die cut that was sitting on my desk along with a Simon Says stamp. The bottom one uses the wonderful Amazing Thanks Dies with the layer under being Pale Papaya and the top layer being Evening Evergreen. The dsp pack is 6x6 and contains several gorgeous patterns that really lend themselves to creating wonderful cards.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

More Artfully Layered Experiments

I made a couple of cards for the card stash using the Artfully Layered stamp set:

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Tanya Rees. She is a very talented stamper and I love her work! Her blog is HERE should you be in the market for some great inspiration!

I sponged on Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green using my blending brushes and then stamped the leaf from the stamp set in black. I used the little dots stamp from Friendly Hello and added a sentiment. These will go in my card stash to send out to friends and family when the occasion calls for it. I am really going to try to be better at sending out cards!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Stamp Camp North - March 2022

Here is my card for this month's Stamp Camp North:
I am in love with the Artfully Composed Suite of products from Stampin' Up! The stamp set/die combination is fantastic and the Artfully Composed designer series paper (dsp) is gorgeous! I used a card base of Old Olive with a layer of Pale Papaya with the two types of dsp layered on that. The sentiment panel is stamped with one of the stamps from the set in Pale Papaya and one of the sentiments from the set as well. I used a couple of Classic Matte Dots and layered the sentiment on a piece of Basic Black. It's a very basic card, but I really like how it looks. The campers will have a choice of sentiment on the outside as well as the inside.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

A few more Thank You cards

Here are the cards I talked about in this post:

I love this Simply Marbleous dsp that was available during SAB. I used each of the colors along with the Painted Texture embossing folder and die cuts from Honeybee Blooms and Amazing Thanks. I really like how these turned out and am hoping each recipient likes theirs as well.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Thank You cards

I have been on a bit of a tear lately making Thank You cards. Here are some samples:

I used the stamp set Flowing Flowers and love both of these color pallettes. The top one uses Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness, Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green. The bottom one uses Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green. I don't know that I have ever put these colors together before, but for these it just really worked. I made multiples of each card and they will go in my stash to be sent out as needed. The card base on the upper one is Bermuda Bay with a layer of Magenta Madness and the bottom one is Coastal Cabana with a layer of Mango Melody. I stamped the Thank You on the bottom one before I ran it through the BS with an embossing folder. The top one was embossed and then a die cut Thanks was added. I stamped the flower cluster with the leaves on the insides matching the ink of the card base. I never have enough thank you cards on hand and this will beef up the stash! I have put the other set of Thank You cards in the mail and will post those in a day or two.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Sassy Stampers Card Camp - March 2022

Here's the card I am thinking of making for the Sassy Stampers Card Camp in March:
Many of you know of my love/hate relationship with sailing and so this stamp set/punch bundle had my name all over it! I got my inspiration from this card by Brian King. I changed up the colors and the dsp and I really like it.

Here's more information on this fun camp:

Playing with retired DSP

I have been playing around with some retired DSP and colored images and these are a couple of my attempts:

I had such a fun time creating these. I used a lot of paper scraps in the process too! The papers are from a retired 6x6 set that I cannot now remember the name of, but they are too gorgeous to let them languish in a box! The image is a digital image and I cannot remember where I got it, but I love it! I colored it in these three colors and also in Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay and Balmy Blue using Stampin' Blends. I used Mango Melody for the flower centers and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. I love using the Stampin' Blends as you get a light and a dark version of each color and they match and blend perfectly.

I recently had occasion to make some thank you cards to send to folks that sent me sympathy wishes on the passing of my mother on January 25. The thoughtfulness of these caring individuals was greatly appreciated and I will show those cards once they have been mailed out.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Crazy Card Chics Card Kits to Go - February 2022

Here's my card for this month's CCC card kits to go:

Inside:
The card base is Pool Party with a layer of white and then a layer using the SAB paper pack called Simply Marbelous that you can get for FREE with a $50 order from Stampin' Up! There are 8 sheets each of 6 double sided designs. It's absolutely gorgeous! The sentiment on the front is from this month's stamp offering from Technique Junkies. I love the 1st of the month when they showcase that month's new stamps. I punched out a couple of hearts from some retired Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and added a couple of rhinestone jewels. The inside is a digital stamp from Lily of the Valley that I colored using the RGB codes for Pool Party in my graphic editing software and added a sentiment. The corners are all punched using a ½" Crop-a-Dile corner chomper.

This is a great camp and all participants really seem to like it. Here are the details in case you want to participate:
