Ronald F. Doucette - 1927-2012

This is a picture of me with my dad when we were both much younger.  I lost my dad on Sunday and I am missing him - a lot.  He was not a perfect person (I have yet to meet one of those), but he was kind and caring and I loved him so much.   I will miss his presence on this earth, but I will carry him with me always in my heart.

Here is his obituary:

October 13 - Stamp Camp North Projects

Here is a slideshow of the projects the gals created at our October Stamp Camp North:

We had a wonderful turnout and the gals all had a grand time creating these projects.   If you see an image you want to see in a larger format, just click on it and you should be able to open a window and see more detail.  If you encounter any problems let me know.  Things have changed at Google and Picasa and I'm just not certain that they work they same way they used to.  I may end up just inserting the actual pictures to highlight these wonderful cards.

Last night was our Front Range Stampers meeting and I will have some pix of our projects from that meeting for you tomorrow - some really wonderful stuff.  There is such great talent in this area and I feel blessed to be part of it all.

Thursday is our Rocky Mountain Inky Fingers meeting and I hope to have some pix to show from that meeting too so be sure to check back.

Stamp Camp North Project

This Saturday I will be at our monthly Stamp Camp North in Westminster, Colorado.  Here is the project the gals will be making at my station:

Andrea Wolford had a gorgeous version of this card using Early Espresso in her 12 weeks of Christmas 2012 series, but I wanted something a bit brighter and so chose to use Rich Razzleberry instead along with the silver glitter paper.  I tried to find the link to her card, but it's not there anymore - sorry. I do like how my version of it turned out.

Yesterday afternoon, grandpa and I went along while DS and DDL took the kids to the pumpkin patch to get their Halloween pumpkins.  We all had a blast and I thought I might share a couple of photos with you:

Julian found one he really liked!

Justice had fun too!

Bella and Grandpa had a standoff over which one to choose!

It was a nice day for pumpkin hunting.  Grandpa and I found ones we liked too and we'll be carving them up to decorate the porch next week.  I enjoyed being able to use my camera too - still learning but having a blast doing it!

Not managing to post every day, but I'm getting better and hope to stay on track.  Thanks for being patient with me!

Holiday Digital Freebie

I've been playing around with digital sentiments again and have designed a few that I will share over the next few weeks.  Here's this week's freebie:

Just right click on the image and save it to your local computer.

Be sure to check out my digital freebies page and grab some of the other sets that I have designed.

I'm getting ready for the North Area Stamp Camp this weekend and will preview my card later this week.  I look forward to these stamp camps as my fellow demos are all so talented and I always learn something new.  If you want any more information on this stamp camp or any of the other camps that I participate in, just leave me a note in the comments and I will get back to you.

Just to say "Thanks!"

My DDL Autumn is a real gem (see yesterday's post).  She took care of my two kitties (who are really impossibly quirky with anyone but me) while I was in Washington in May, Salt Lake City in July and while I spent my scant 3 weeks on the boat with DH in August.  To say thanks, I made these for her with some beads that I picked up during my trip to Washington at one of the best bead shops in the country - Beadazzled

The light isn't the best in this photo, I'm still working on constructing myself a light box that I can fold up and store easily as I just don't have enough room in the craft studio to set up a full fledged photo booth (not yet anyway).

I made myself some too (didn't get any pix of those though) and am working on some more as gifts for those special gals in my life for Christmas and I've also made some scissor charms for some of my good customers (will get some pix of these soon).

Posting two days in a row - hopefully this is a trend I can continue!

Christmas Card Camp

This past weekend the gals and I got together for a Christmas Card Camp.  They got to make 10 cards and an ornament and we sure did have a grand time!  Flo was a truly gracious hostess and had lots of munchies on hand for us so we could keep our energy levels up.  Here's some pix of the girls in action:

My DDL Autumn (standing in the top picture) saved the day for me by coming along to help out.  With 12 stampers and so many projects, I definitely could not have done it without her.  Thanks Autumn!!!!

Here are the projects that we made:

The inspiration for these cards and the ornament came from the talented blogs of LeAnne, Kay and Jan!  If you are ever in need of inspiration, these three ladies have blogs that are just full of wonderful ideas!

I am really hoping to get back on track and begin blogging regularly again.  I have been making things, just haven't been blogging about them.  DH is finally home from his summer sailing adventure (YAY) and maybe things will get back to normal around our house again.
