Today they are 9!

My darling twin grandchildren turned 9 today!  It just doesn't seem possible.  Here they were 9 years ago:

and here they are now:

They are truly amazing young people and I feel so honored to have them as my grandchildren.

We are feverishly trying to get ready for our trip to Florida/Georgia.  We plan to leave early Monday morning but we shall see how that goes.  The Captain is pretty determined to get on the road though so I expect we will make it.

Front Range Stampers Downline Meeting Swaps - January 2015

I really enjoy going to meetings with other demonstrators.  I always get so inspired and learn something new every time.  This month one of the make and take projects was designed by Cathy Hansen.  I am in love with this card!  I had such fun making it and cannot wait to make some more!

There is a great tutorial for this technique on Splitcoast Stampers HERE.  Please go check it out - it was lots of fun and yielded nice results.

Here are the great swaps created by these talented demonstrators:

More Butterflies!

As you can probably tell from many of this month's posts, I am really enjoying the new Butterfly Basics and the coordinating Butterflies Thinlits dies.  I have also played a bit more with making sparkly watercolor paper.  These papers were created using the wet on wet technique using Stampin' Up! reinkers as my watercolor medium.  Made it so easy to coordinate with my inks and paper colors!

I really like how these turned out and they really are very sparkly in real life.  I used stamps from the Butterfly Basics set and the sentiments are from my stamp stash.  The top card uses a white card base and Old Olive for the image backing.  The bottom card uses a Marina Mist card base and the butterfly was cut from Island Indigo and spritzed with glimmer spray too.  The ferns on both are from the Butterfly Basics set and were stamped in Pistachio Pudding on the top card and Basic Black on the bottom.

I'm processing the pictures from the Rocky Mountain Inky Fingers and Front Range Stampers meetings to share with you this week.  I can't say it often enough - these gals really rock the creativity!
