On my recent downline roadtrip, we made a card using distress inks. I got a few and also a couple of stamps. I couldn't resist playing a little bit tonight. I have tons of stuff I should be doing, but sometimes you just have to play, especially when you've had a couple of weeks like I have had. It was a great stress reliever and I really think that I'll be more productive because of it.
The cattail stamp is one of the stamps I got at Rocky Mountain Memories. I've had the sentiment for a while and just hadn't inked it up yet. The button is from my stash. I cut the brown layer with my deckle scissors and used the Black Soot distress pad on it. I used Pine Needles on the green card base and Antique Linen on the image panel. Card stock is Garden Green, Naturals Ivory and Soft Suede. I have really fallen in love with the Soft Suede cardstock and it is the only color I didn't think I'd like in the new in-color bundle.
Can't wait to get back to crafting on a regular basis - - soon, very soon I hope!
Thanks so much for visiting!

Cattails...a fav of mine! Love the simplicity of this!
This is really a beautiful card! I so love these colors and that sentiment is so cool! Best, Curt
LOVE this Chris! And the button is a perfect touch to me!
This is so great. I love the cattail image and the colors you have here. I just finished watching the Thinking Inking video series by Jennifer Maguire and I am sort of tempted to buy the whole line of distress inks and create all the great looks that the ink allows for.
You card is super!
so nice when one can use something that you never used in along time. like the scisssors. love the card very much.
