You will notice a few things missing from this blog, namely references to Stampin' Up! SU announced a new independent demonstrator agreement today that would force me to basically strip my blog of much that I consider useful, both to me and to my readers. Instead of doing that, I have temporarily stripped off the SU stuff from this blog. Demonstrators have been told that unless they sign this agreement before October 1, they will no longer be demonstrators. I am really hoping that they reconsider this position of product paranoia and amend the agreement. If they don't, I will no longer be a demonstrator.
The mission statement of SU discusses the love of creativity and sharing that creativity with others, this statment doesn't say that you can only do it using SU products so maybe they need to make some adjustments to that as well. Don't mean to sound bitter here, but I have really enjoyed being a demonstrator and the comraderie that I have shared with my fellow upline, downline and sideline gals has meant more to me than I can even begin to explain. But ... this is asking me to cross a line I am not willing to cross. I cannot do it.

Sorry to hear that, Chris. I was a demo for awhile too, but SU just was not 'in' me anymore. There are just too many wonderful stamp lines out there for me to stick to one and only one company. :0)
I'm not a demo, but I am appalled at what SU is asking their demos to do! I'm with you...that is just asking too much. I sure hope they amend it quickly so I can keep my gal...because I think she'll stop too if it comes down to it.
I have noticed in a lot of blogs today that many people are feeling the same way you do. I hope it all works out in a blessed way.
Shame on them and think about all of the free advertising they are missing out on. There are plenty of nice stamp sites out there. Maybe I will use them more!
As a previous SU customer it tells me they know longer have faith in their products that they don't want people to even know there is competition out there. It says to me they don't believe they can compete. I sure hope that if my daughter decides to work for McDonalds that she can still eat other places on her own time.
I'm not a demo and I cannot believe those ridiculous rules! I think they will lose quite a few demos over this.
It's their loss Chris!!!!
I am hoping with you that they have a change of heart, although I don't think they will! I guess there will be a lot of new ex-demos starting October first.
Hugs!!!!!!
Chris, I left SU a year ago and felt the weight of the world off my shoulders and my freedom to create where and how I wanted to soared! I am stunned over this. I am not sure who thought this one up but their job should be terminated!
I was probably going to drop off too, because my one customer and I just can not afford to always reach my minimums. But now, I may have to put in an order to stock up now and not worry about that last quarter I was going to do...
